The Victorian Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development (DIIRD) has recently joined the Australian Road Forum as its 49th member.
The Department is the Victorian Government's lead agency for economic and regional development.
ARF Chief Executive, Ian Webb, says the continuing expansion of the Forum's membership base adds weight to its role as the road transport industry peak body, as well as a platform for debate and policy development.
“The ARF provides an outstanding forum for industry members who want to stay in touch with each other and the process of policy formulation,” he says.
“Membership is open to companies, agencies and associations - be they public, private or community - who have an interest in Australia's road transport system.
“We welcome DIIRD on board and we look forward to reaching a milestone of 50 members ahead of our next Forum meeting on March 21.”
