Roads Australia was launched by the Federal Minister for Roads in 2005 as Australia’s new national peak body for stakeholders in the road transport sector. Membership identifies participants as the principal players in Australia’s road system.
Roads Australia includes all of the major construction, engineering, paving and road operating companies in Australia, together with road authorities and industry peak bodies such as motoring associations, local government and unions. Members meet every six months as a college of industry leaders. Roads Australia also holds regular networking events throughout Australia for the industry at large. Roads Australia is not for profit and non-political, but it does stand for the industry’s common interest in what’s good for Australia.
